Yeah . . . a very late night . . . especially when you lose!
Oh well the Patriots are certainly winners . . . never a doubt of winning when they play . . . unlike the Sox who even though have a good team with great players always cause The Nation to cover the eyes at crunch time.
Still, no one ever said the ALCS was gonna be easy. I still pick the Sox in six!

Craz ...
I'm getting worried about the Sox. I was watching the Rockies game last night, and when I saw Boston had lost, I about tossed my cookies. Looks like Kenny Lofton is a one-man army, his weapons trained on the Sox pitching staff! Well, I suppose the series will have to come back to Fenway. Maybe that was in the plans all along! I mean who wants to celebrate a League Championship in a strange ballpark, eh?
Yeah, yeah. That's the ticket!

Tuesday night's game was going OK for the Sox when the roof fell in . . . boom, bang, pow. The knuckleball stopped knuckling and the Indians laid a whooping on the BoSox.
Down 3-1 and only Beckett to stop the madness and give the Sox a chance to return to Fenway.
Don't forget 2004 when the Sox were down 0-3 to the Evil Empire only to come-from-behind. Do they have it in them one more time?

I think this is the year of the Rockies. I paid very little attention to them this year but from what little I've seen and their having won 20 of their last 21 games, well, they look unbeatable. I am surprised that the BoSox have not faired better. Ramirez is such a slob. Is that Ortiz's uniform he wearing? What three times to big? What is this gangsta baseball? Pants dragging the ground. What's with the Aunt Jemina napkin covering up the dreadlocks? He could never play for the Yankees looking like that. Reggie Jackson said he was very unprofessional looking and was disrespecting the game. I agree. Plus he hits a homerun and stands at home plate with his arms held up...when they're losing? Surprised no one has drilled him yet. What a moron.
OK, now I feel better.

Manny being Manny . . . at least he's not riling the Indians with his words. But standing there watching his home runs may be a sticking point for the Indians.
However, I don't think one of there pitchers will want to conk him. It may give the Sox the spark they need.
The best way to deal with Manny is to get him out . . . but that is very difficult.
Red Sox win game 5 and move to Fenway. After that anything is possible.

Agreed...drilling him would wake up the Red Sox who seem to be in a deep sleep.

I'm really hatin' all of these freakin' days off. Why yesterday ... I can understand a travel day, but to remain in The Mistake By The Lake, this is just regoofulous. Hope Beckett brings it hard ... but these off days are putting the rest of America (and obviously Manny) to sleep.

The BoSox took care of business in game 5 . . . and Manny after all his talking came through as usual. No matter is goofiness and seemingly lack of interest the guy is a hitting machine. I just wish he coulda run a little faster after his long fly ball bounced off the top of the center field wall. He should have at least gotten to 2nd.
And oh by the way, why the heck didn't he slide into home plate . . . he coulda scored!
You still gotta love the guy . . . without him the Sox would not be where they are now . . . back at Fenway and a chance to repeat 2004!
PS: Beckett was nasty last night.

You're right. Beckett was simply filthy! And one thing that separates Manny from the boys is his ability to work a count--even after he's gotten two strikes down. I wonder if Alfonso ("0-2") Soriano is bothering to watch.
Hoping Schilling does well--he wasn't too impressive last time. Maybe he needs to be bleeding profusely through his socks ...

In case anyone missed it . . . the Sox came back from being down 3-1 and won three straight in a most convincing manner.
Now it will be the Rox & Sox! Sox in 6!

Do you have a good source for this, such as a time-traveling baseball nut? Should I bet the works on your prediction?

Manny should lend his dew rag to Youkilis. How does he hit through all that sweat?
Got that bet covered, Horse!
