Hi AZ Generally speaking Guns are designed to kill and kill on a mass scale. Mass killing is intentionaL. Drunk driving is accidental killing usually with the driver also being killed. Note that mass killing is usually against a community of some sort . The gun does not discrimate , it will kill everybody. Defense against abuse of the gun is not to limit ownership but to suggest the arming of even more people, particularly in soft targets...schools churches ,supermarkets ,hospitals. I'v been to the cinema in the States and have seen armed police (is there any other kind)providing armed protection. As for preventing tyranny? ok , but universal gun ownership gives insurrectionists a great head start.... you can walk right up to a capital building armed to the teeth. Are postmen/women armed now? Metal detectors monitoring kiddies going into school? Abortion is a totally different issue . A situation which has been with us since Adam was a boy.It is triggered by nature and determined by economical circumstances. But in no way does it threaten society ...unlike drugs for example. I saw a program the other night about bail enforcers in the States. A camera followed two such officers. They called to a rural property in search of an offender. The offender turned out to be an obese harmless slob. He was in hiding on the property and his elderly mother [armed with a brush]and sister would not cooperate with the officers. So the officers shot them with non lethal rounds and then teasared[?] them. The officers were also armed with pistols, batons ,pepper and smoke grenades. All of which were deployed in the hunt for the trailer trash slob. And they were right because they did not know if the slob was armed. And that gentlemen is the society and environment your gun provides LETHAL.- Best Richard Richard you start out with a false statement. If guns were meant to kill in general and we have over 300,000,000 guns and billions of rounds of ammunition how can you support your statement? Abortion is in general to take human life or if don't accept that it prevents a human from living on its own. It threatens what is acceptable morality in society without a doubt. Bail bondsman are not police officers. Regards Steve

Here's a website with all kinds of statistics about guns, violence, etc. in the USA. This particular statistic show that the vast majority of mass shootings were done by someone who legally purchased a fire arm. A little tightening of gun laws may be one step in reducing gun violence and mass shootings in the USA. No one is saying to disarms Americans but at least let's stop the gun-show loophole, and the sale of weapons through private sales where anyone can sell a gun to anyone without going through a background check, a little longer waiting period so someone can cool off before buying a gun. I don't think that's unreasonable. www.statista.com/statistics/476461/mass-shootings-in-the-us-by-legality-of-shooters-weapons/You mean like a father teaching his sons and daughters firearm safety and then taking them hunting and finally decides to buy a rifle, shotgun or handgun to hunt with for their child? As for the argument being armed in case of government tyranny. Do you really think locals with shotguns, rifles, handguns, and maybe AKs are going to stop the US military who have all kinds of weapons that can make "legal" weapons look like pea-shooters. More guns doesn't mean less violence. If it did there would not be the amount of gun violence we have in the USA. The USA has 4 percent of the world's population but 42 percent of the world's guns. All those guns don't seem to be stopping the killing. Martial law would have to be declared and this would be a terrible situation to be in. I suspect the unarmed die first from the wolves taking all their possessions at will. Quit with the fake news on guns manufactured in the world. We don't have reliable data from all countries. Just how many guns does North Korea possess? 42% is fake number since we have no idea of the real total in the world. Regards AZ Ranger

I am sure that soldiers will support the constitution including the amendments. There are very few sheep personalities in our armed forces and many come from families that have served. As far as the AR-15 it is game over time. There is a charging handle and bolt carrier group that converts it to a bolt action which eliminates from being semi automatic. So do you suggest we ban bolt action firearms? If we were to have martial law it would suspend elections and Trump would be in command of the military. I have no problem with that but I am sure that would scare a lot of liberals and sheep. Regards AZ Ranger

My apologies for even being involved in this divisive issue. It doesn't belong on this forum.
On to the LBH.

Crzhrs, you are correct, however Richard never let anything get in the way of a good argument. He probably has no clue which end of the tube the round exits or where to place his tool to impregnate a female(abortion no issue for him). He is wrong on Benteen and the Cheyenne not being able to use numbers to count. But, you have to love him.
Hello Richard, I have been away a good bit, I am glad to see you back, I should spend more time here to keep an eye on you. Hope all is well in your corner of the world.
Regards, Tom

Hi Tom Alls fine here.We have a ring side seat to the Brits vanishing up their own arse. The sooner they are gone the better. I see they are burning the Amazon rain forest, the coral reef is crumbling under the weight of s###e the Aussies are crapping on it and the Yanks are shooting each other while awaiting the return of the Red Coats. All fake news of course. Your other points I hear the good old boys always emptied their magazines into the butts. Have a good day now ya hear! Richard

At least Wild (Richard) appears to be an open-minded, progressive thinker even if he is a Brit (LOL!)
I disagree with his opinions on Benteen and the Cheyenne but at least it's about the LBH and not topics that no one can win here.

Back to the topic of the thread, if only briefly. AZ and I visited the location, that Doug Scott agrees that it is, this past June. Directly behind the orange abandoned fort/store, close to a mile east off I-90, and 2 miles southeast of the Garryowen post office/store. Which would have been behind the skirmish line.

As per the good Colonel Situation: LTC Custer at 3411 saw that Reno's attack was stalled, and that Indians had swept past his open flank and were between him and Ford A. Benteen and the trains would naturally follow the trail across Ford A and after Reno.
The order for Benteen and the trains to follow Custer, vice Reno was intended to keep them from running into the Indians between Ford A and Reno. It makes sense. They would have been slaughtered piecemeal.
This is a significant observation. This means that Benteen by not crossing at Ford A is delibrately avoiding the action in his immediate front. It then begs the question why involve himself with the defeated Reno a short time later?
I half suspect myself that he avoided Ford A for tactical reasons ; river crossings , brush wood, broken terrain obscured view. All of which would put cavalry at a huge disadvantage...got to see the enemy before committing.
Further Benteen would not have known which battalion was in the valley . Did he in fact know that as he approached Ford A there was an engagement to his front?

Hi AZ Richard you start out with a false statement. If guns were meant to kill in general and we have over 300,000,000 guns and billions of rounds of ammunition how can you support your statement? Don't really know what you mean? Simple availability of guns does not relate to why persons commit crimes. Abortion is in general to take human life or if don't accept that it prevents a human from living on its own. It threatens what is acceptable morality in society without a doubt. You cant compare a moral issue to a security issue.
Sure you can. It would be immoral and unconstitutional to deprive a person the means to protect themselves with a weapon of their choice. Most officers that I know have serveral weapons to protect themselves and families when the are off duty.
Bail bondsman are not police officers. No but they are part of the justice system which is an armed system. Cheers Richard Not sure what you mean. Dog the Bounty Hunter is not armed and he is a bail bondsman. I don't classify bail bondsmen as part of the justice system any more than private investigators. In order to obtain an Arizona bail bondsman license and practice in the state, candidates must meet these requirements: Be at least 18 years old. Be an Arizona state resident. Pass the state licensing exam. Possess sufficient funds to pay the $120 licensing fee and the $22 fingerprint FBI processing fee. Regards Steve
