Hey, Broken Nose,
I'm interested in that moon rock. It would go great right next to my Custer Remington rifle.
Best wishes, Fred.

Fred- "...It would go great right next to my Custer Remington rifle....
YOU HAVE ONE TOO??!! Surely there can't be two of them. I thought that Indian fella at the battlefield gate, who sold me mine, looked a little shady. Damn, he seemed so sincere.

Can't you guys play nice for 2.2 seconds?
I don't expect you to read it, Crazy. I just think it's very cool that there is interest about the battle all around the world, and I foolishly thought you might like to see the cover.
I assure you that Jari is nothing like the Swiss Cheese. While I was running the LBHA site, a few people from Finland joined. I'm sure these boards continue to have visitors from there, so play nice!

Boy, this is a new low. It's one thing to slag a book you haven't read. It's quite another to slag one you will never be able to read. Finland is quite some distance from Switzerland both in distance and national temperament [if there is such a thing].
The cover looks interesting, Diane. Do you happen to know if the re-enactors are Finnish, or was the photo taken in the US? I notice that Custer has already lost his Remington Sporter, or possibly it is being carried by one of his many attendants on the day. Fred's number of 47 is somewhat inflated, but I know he did that on purpose to see if anyone was paying attention.

Diane - "...Can't you guys play nice for 2.2 seconds?..."
1.7 is the house record, I believe.
Don't mind crzhrs, he's just the crumudgeon in training around here. That's all.
Agree with Gordie - the cover looks good. Very interesting, and yes, in Finland the turnips land on your plate and not on the plaintif's stand at your Human Veggie Rights trial.
M P.S. crz, you gotta give the guy points for actually getting a finished book into publication.

This has to be a joke. Finland is in New Jersey. And what the hell does a "tuu lean tuna" have to do with the Little Big Horn? God! The American skool systim; cain't eevn spel 2 corectli.
Beest witches, Redf.
Hey! I just noticed something... those are Mongolian ponies on the cover and that appears to be Helsinki in the background. I thought the Little Big Horn was closer to Billings than to Helsinki. But, hey... that's just me!

Come on. He had to get permission from his publisher to let me post the photos, so please stop making fun. He put a lot of work into this book, so show some respect.
I apologize, Jari. They are probably just jealous that you are being published. I am very proud of you.

You're absolutely correct, Diane. As Michael pointed out, I, for one, have not even Finnished my book yet.
Larry: When you've completed your Norwegian studies, follow up with Danish, Swedish and Russian. They're all around Finland somewhere.

J... a... r... i! Sounds laack heeze from Apple-8-cha. Cain't eevn spel Jerri kerecked!
Oh, well. I guess I'm going to have get this one too. It may take me a longer longer to give you my opinion... did anyone notice those guys have their hats on backwards? That "Pilot" business... is this guy in the air force? Maybe I met him on a KLM flight one time... there was a guy in a breechcloth, whoopin' it up in first class.... And I thought "Big Horn" was two words! I'm already finding a lot of mistakes here....
I noticed Libbie Custer reviewed the book already; it's on the back cover... I didn't know she spoke Finnish. And what's with that big white blotch over those graves? Something fishy here... has this book been censored at all? Do they do that in Finnishland?
And Gordie... when you get a chance... no big russian... I'll have a Danish to go... and a cup of Java. Well, it's back to my Karl May book.

In about 1940, the Soviet Union invaded tiny Finland. Greatly outnumbered (1 Finnish tank to every 200 Russian tanks), the Fins still managed to severly bloody the nose of the Soviets and thwart Stalin's plans to conquer them.
Make lite if you will, but as for me - I have no desire to get on the wrong side of any of those fellas. Two thumbs up for the Fins and congratulations to Mr. Teilas on his achivement.
Michael - Humbly so

Although my ancestors were Frisian, I have some empathy for our friends from Finland. (Sometimes I apparently go overboard in my admiration for the Finns, because my wife often complains that I Finnish first.)
So, on behalf of Mr. Teilas, I have this to say:
Te hupsu ei osata erinomainen kirjanpidollinen tokko se avaimenlehti te kotona perse. Kimmoisuus we erottaa!
(U zou jokers geen groot boek kennen als het u in arse beet. Geef me een onderbreking!)

What's Jari's approach? Any new theories here? Perhaps you can invite him on the board for a question and answer session. If you do you'll have to lock several of these guys in a closet till its over.
