I agree with BLACK ELK SPEAKS . . . informative from his times as a young boy living the old ways thru the LBH, to traveling with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show to being an old man and lamenting the loss of the Indian culture. Very touching moment when as an old man he goes out to the Black Hills and prays for help . . . the skies darken, thunder booms, and rain falls.
This is a person who went from the traditional Lakota culture all the way to the "modern" age dying in 1950!
Highly recommended!

Have often wondered if Thomas Berger 'lifted' that scene from BES for the ending of 'Little Big Man.' The scene and mood are dead on.
