Thanks Dave, I always enjoy watching a great drill team. And though I was never a Marine, I am proud of my Dad's service as a Marine.

Unfortunately regarding my phallic symbol, it has always been considered a carbine by my wife, she does like the fact that I reload quickly. We have been married 45 years and her weapon has a hair trigger. Jodak, no political correctness here, my friend.

I wonder if they can make it retroactive so Steve and Dan could attend and become more attuned to their feminine side? Regards Dave

I just happened to remember Uncle Ernie, ex DI, used the term BAMS for female Marines. I suppose he would have to attend the classes along with Steve and Dan. Regards Dave
PS I have just finished a great book Til the Last Bugle Call: A Novel of U.S. Marines On Guadalcanal by Eric Hammel. An excellent story combat Marines in squad and platoon and company levels. Available on Amazon.com

Seems to me we need a new president that doesn't believe in political correctness within our military.

Or playing golf 15 minutes after announcing the beheading of an American journalist or attending a baseball game after another terrorist attack in a European airport where over 30 are killed. I realize he can not do anything to prevent past attacks but he could at least act like he is engaged in the current events.
Is NATO not designed to provide support and protection for its member nations? Could we not encourage NATO members to unite and respond to ISIS's actions? Regards Dave

Colt
Agree that we have lacked leadership and a clear strategy to deal with terrorists and their organizations. Insisting that Global Warming is our greatest threat borders on being completely at sea. Americans fear travelling overseas because of the terrorist threat not because of bad weather!
Dangerous times call for active and concerned leaders not college professors who perform as addressing a law school class on contracts. I would dearly love to have a president who is engaged and seeking military and diplomatic answers to the threat not one who is more interested in playing golf 15 minutes after announcing the beheading of a an American journalist.
You can't lead from behind!
Regards
Dave

Since this is a Marine Corps Thread, Dave, why don't you put forth a Marine, for the job. The Dems. had one, but he dropped out, former senator Jim Webb, he also has Sec. Navy on his resume.

By the way Webb has a Navy Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. Did not love all his votes, but overall a class act.
