While at the battlefield I had the opportunity to briefly to meet Diane, thanks Fred. Diane, you look taller in your Avatar.

And on that note - the war to end all wars - 100 years ago today, the start of the Battle of the Somme.

It is easy to see how hard core you really are camping out like this. More photos of how tough it was back in the good ole days, please. Regards Dave PS Notice how I ducked the dancers comment.

Dave, Just trying to be inclusive, the warriors were riding and dancing topless, not to mention riding bareback. Kind of a women's rights thing

As always your caring attitude and drive to make it an all inclusive event is plainly evident. Why have you not been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? It is inexplicable. Regards Dave

TD Great photos and the video of Fred was great! I sorta knew he was conversant with the battle and he proved he can present information in an educating manner. Wish he would do a few videos for those of us who could not make it this year. Regards Dave

One of the couples with our Casper Platoon reunion in Billings sent this photo of their cat titled, "Rosie is very happy we are home." Rosie obviously has great taste in books! Thanks again to Fred for sharing his knowledge with our group! Diane

My husband Chuck and I will finally be returning to Montana after a ten year absence! Chuck will be retiring in July, so I hope this will become an annual trip once again. To see when and where we will be, see casper-billings2016.com/. Casper is Chuck's Vietnam Platoon -- great guys and great wives! -- and we'll be meeting up with Fred and his Merry Men on Wednesday, the 22nd, at the Battlefield. I cannot wait! After the crowd leaves on Friday, we are hoping to participate in CBHMA and Friends activities that weekend at the Battlefield. Diane I am glad I got to meet you at trading post. Sounds like you had a great time. Regards Steve
