Hi Ian Nothing I post here is on a personal level. You were to your credit making your point from a moralistic view. And I gave an example of how the US and Margaret acted in relation to the dictator Pinochet. There are many more examples of this kind PolPot,contras,Mujahideen,Shah, mining the harbours of Nicarigua to starve the population into revolf and so on.This to show that morals are not a consideration in US foreign affairs. As to your question ) I thought these people were dead, so how can they vote Spot on. Best of luck with the game today.I fear the weather favours your heavier boys and we will have a very rough day. Regards

Hi Richard, I missed the Ireland v England game, Widnes played St Helens in the Super League, but I caught the highlights later, the weather ruined both games, restricting them both to forward battles.
To Dan, I hope the bad weather has not effected your area, I seen the news yesterday and the snow looked really bad.
Ian.

Ian, Thanks for the concern my friend, but the Northern parts of NY and Conn and Mass got hammered I am in NJ and we only got 4-6 inches and never lost power. I had my wife get the snow-thrower to clear the driveway. She said that she couldnt start it. Ha, she tried to pull that same stunt with me with the lawn mower, but I fooled her. I got an electric start on the snow-thrower. When I fired it up she had a look like Wiley Coyote when he misses the Road-Runner. Got to get up pretty early in the morning to fool old Dan ;D Be Well Dan

Maybe a backward glance at this divisive subject. I'm reading Richard Gott's tome the British Empire.Great read.It has a section on the British Indian wars from the 1650s to the revolution. These wars were in the main wars of extermination[on both sides].It appears that no quarter was expected or given and this included non combatants. As far as our heros are concerned there really was no tradition of negotiated settlements, annihilation being the order of the day. Relatively speaking the US policy of human reservations was much more humane than that which went before;if genocide can be described as humane.
