I knew I should have gone to church this morning. Damned cold. I am having delusions of Alka Seltzer. Perhaps that is his problem also.

El Dorado has some of the cheesiest comments going, but I love em,
Wayne referring to Robert Mitchum as: I am looking at a tin star with a drunk pinned on it.
Christopher George on first meeting Wayne: There's only three men I know with his kind of speed. One's dead. The other's me. And the third is Cole Thornton.
Chuck, we have just had one of the wettest Sundays in ages, if it carries on I am going to build an Ark with all the spare timber I have laying around the garden shed.

Hi Fred, who is the fourth?
Nelse McLeod: Faith can move mountains Milt, but it can't beat a faster draw. There's only three men I know with his kind of speed—one's dead, the other's me, and the third is Cole Thornton. Cole Thornton: There's a fourth. McLeod: Which one are you? Thornton: I'm Thornton.

Chuck/Fred, I had a couple of free hours this weekend so I decided to dig out some old movies.
The Siege of Firebase Gloria, R. Lee Ermey should have won an Oscar for his dead pan acting.
The Age of Hero’s, Sean Bean’s posh accent makes this film a classic.
Duel at Diablo, I don’t know how Sidney Poitier manage to keep his shirts so clean whilst he was battling Apaches in the middle of a desert.

Hi Fred, who is the fourth? Ian, Are you asking me this? If so, Wayne was referring to Robert Mitchum. Remember, he didn't know at that time Mitchum was in the cups. Best wishes, Fred.

The Siege of Firebase Gloria, R. Lee Ermey should have won an Oscar for his dead pan acting. Never even heard of it. I like Sean Bean a lot. Was this the one about the SAS in Iraq? There was a coin-operated laundromat in a nearby wadi. Best wishes, Fred.

I forgot about Mitchum Fred, the part in the film were they try to sober him up is a classic, ‘’watch you don’t blow him up’’.
The Siege at firebase Gloria was set in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. Age of Hero’s is set during WW2 and the British SAS taking out a German radar station in Norway. Poitier looked like he was playing cards in a saloon with his white fancy duds.

Dan do you remember Johnny Rondo in an episode of the High Chaparral? They even had a song about him, ‘’Sixteen tried and Sixteen died at the hands of Johnny Rondo’’. Good God I will be looking for old episodes of Alias Smith and Jones next. Ian

Ian,
No my friend. What I discribed was a scene from one of the best westerns ever made. Tombstone. If you havent seen it make sure you do, you wont be disapointed. Val Kilmer as Doc Hoilday played one of the best roles I have seen.
Be Well Dan

Dan I have it on DVD, great movie. Chuck, I have been grouting the tiles on our Kitchen walls today and had my music playing at the same time, I started off with a little Donovan this proceeded to James Taylor and finally with Van Halen ‘’really enjoyed myself, one of the Donovan tracks was called ’’Remember the Alamo’’ and I immediately thought of you. Ian.

Ian: Take it from someone who has a looooooooooot of experience with wall tiles, in fact tile of all kinds, grouting always goes better with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys - "Take it away Tommy, take it away." An now in my dotage that is exactly what I think about grouting - take it way - although my daughter conned me into doing two bathrooms and an entrance foyer last year on my San Antonio vacation.

Capt, Heres one for you Ill bet you didnt know. Remember at the OK corral when Clanton says to Doc Holiday, "I got you now you SOB" Doc says "Your a daisy if you do" Well I think why would Clanton be a pansy if he was able to take out Doc, it made no sense so I looked it up. In the West Daisy = Gunfighter Be Well Dan PS... Also in "Saving Private Ryan" the German soldier who kills the Ranger in a knife fight, is not the same soldier that Upton had Capt Miller let go
