I just listened to a voicemail that Steve Alexander left on our machine last night. He had received a voicemail message from Trish's mother.
I don't know how to say this gently: Trish died of a heart attack on Wednesday. I am sure you all are as shocked as I am. I knew she had heart problems, but I was not prepared for this. She was with these boards from the beginning and will be greatly missed.
I'm so sorry.

OMG. It sounded so much as if it was all under control. So sorry to hear that.
How horrendous for Trish's mother, having so recently lost her son too. Please (well, I'm sure you will) pass on our condolences.

That poor mother; two children in one year.
I'll miss Trish's comments and observations including her raging against injustices.
Damn, too many of us are dying.
Be good folks,
Billy

This news has left me numb. No need to rage any more Trish, now you'll be with your beloved Philip. I only hope your novel still gets published as that would be a fitting tribute to you. I'll miss your e-mails.

Tricia and I had a regular and lengthy correspondence over the past year or so. When the family lost the younger son, I sent a note of condolences to them, and wrote to Tricia that no parent should have to bury a child. I had gathered that the worst was behind her, and now this!!
I don't have an address for the family - I sent the note through Tricia - but I join with everyone else who loved and respected Tricia in asking that Diane send our heartfelt condolences to her family.
Sasha or Cousin Emily as I called her, was dead straight and up front with everyone, "friend and foe" alike, and would brook no nonsense from anyone, especially when it came to standing up for her NDN heritage, and defending the People. I'm sitting here, at the keyboard, bawling my eyes out, and nothing to be done about it.
Goodbye, sweet heart.................
Gordie

As a fairly new member I didn't get to know Trish. But I can see from all your posts here that she was a well-loved and respected member of the board. I hope she has a good journey home.

I sit with tear filled eyes just trying to take it in. We PMed quite a bit too. She told me a lot about her Dine heritage and I always admired her pride in that. No one knew Audie better!! I considered her my friend and there's a hole in my heart. But Hunk's right. She's with her sweet Phillip. God speed, Trish. Sage is burning for you.

Chuck and I have spoken with Steve, who has spoken with Trish's mother.
It may be a small consolation to know that Trish died at the home of her parents. I will be pleased to pass along condolences from everyone, but I have their snail mail address if anyone would like to write to them. I am very sure they would appreciate it.

I am terribly, terribly sorry to hear this news. Unfortunately, it seems to be haunting me lately, most noticeably and most terribly for me, a few weeks ago. And before hearing of Trish today, again yesterday. Somehow, however, the next one never seems to ease the last one.
I will miss Leyton McLean. Most terribly, I shall miss her. She always made me smile.
Best wishes, Fred.

Trish's passing has caused a great loss in this community. She will be missed by all. Go with God, Trish. There is much sadness in all the lodges now with the death chants of mourners.

I am extremely sorry to hear this. We had a good time when we met last year, and I will miss her; she always kept things jumping. I too would like to see her novel published--it would be an appropriate tribute.
