I think it's funny that the hottest thread on this board is about baseball!
For those who are new to these boards and would like to introduce yourselves, please feel free to reply to this message.
Welcome!

Diane, my name is Frank, and I am a Custerholic. Help me, please!

Hello, Frank. Now let's all recite the Serenity Prayer ... oh yeah, I forgot. It doesn't work on the Custer spell! Yikes ... good or bad, I think we're in this for life.
I do have to thank the Boy General. I really owe so much to him. He got me back on the writing path, which has provided opportunities for friendships and learning, re-ignited the reasons why I got that old History degree, and has made me appreciate all the more my Native heritage. Ya'ta'he'ey!
All that for a dude who I used to think carelessly took 210 of his men with him? He's provided some pretty good company ... for a dead guy!

Fred:
Baseball a joke? The BoSox ripped the Yankees again last night 9-5 (Score not indicative of game)
Schilling cruised through eight innings and the Yanks once again showed their pitching is in deep doo-doo.
Of course, it's early in the season, but with the Sox's good pitching, tight defense, and timely hitting . . . this could be another 2004!

You know, as much as I'd like to see Clemens back in a Houston uniform, or retired, it wouldn't surprise me to see The Boss dangle about $20 million in front of his face to come to NYC and finish the season and help them get back into the World Series.

Crzhrs--
Is it too early in the season to be talking about the "Curse of the Damenino?" It's about time the Evil Empire gets a little bad juju!

Leyton:
Damon, while a favorite and a all-out player for the Red Sox, is now a shell of his former self. Injuries already are taking their toll on him in NY.
The Sox are winning without him, and even without his replacement Coco Crisp . . . so the curse of Damenino was probably over just as soon as he cut his hair . . . apparently he never heard of Samson!

Actually that's Diane's reaction to the time GAC pushed those two wagons full of Confederates over the cliff at Gettysburg! And to think he did that before he brushed his teeth and got out of bed!

Uh, excuse me, Mr. crzhrse, but I do believe it was Johnny Damon's lead-off homerun and two runs scored that were the undoing of the Red Sox last night. Let's judge the trade or signing of Damon after the season is over!
