Does anyone know if any of the photographs by Alexander Gardner that are evidently part of the "Edward E. Ayler Collection" at Chicago's Newberry Library are available for purchase or online review? I'm especially interested in photographs of the native emissaries who attended the 1868 treaty negotiations at Fort Laramie, which are mentioned in Peter Powell's SWEET MEDICINE, volume I.
