The photos have been ordered. Sometimes the Smithsonian takes a little time. Will let everyone know when the images arrive. Happy Fourth of July!

My apologies for taking so long. I finally have all the CDs burned and they are being mailed this morning. It turned out that the resolution was so high on each of the 9 Mitchell photographs that it took 4 CDs to get them all on!
So you will each be receiving 4 CDs with scans of the following D. S. Mitchell portraits from 1877:
Red Cloud Red Dog Little Wound Slow Bull Long Buffalo Bull American Horse Rocky Bear and wife Stands First Little Hawk and Lieut. W. P. Clark
Enjoy! Thank you all for participating. This allows us each to get these high resolution images without paying the full price individually.

Wonderful news, Ephriam. Sound like it turned out to be more work than anticipated. Your efforts are very much appreciated and we are getting a bargain for our contribution!
Thanks,

The images are wonderful! Thank you very, very much, Ephriam!
Ephriam deserves a rest after all that CD burning, so I hope some of our other photo experts can answer a couple of questions, please.
I think I can correctly identify some of the Mitchell images, but I would really appreciate it if someone would match up the names with the ID numbers of the images on the CDs.
Also, I looked at my Godkin CD tonight and had forgotten how wonderful those photos are. Ephriam had said in an e-mail last year that " . . . the Little Big Man image is George Sword." I didn't see one labeled Little Big Man. Did he mean the one that looks like it says Capt Sword and Daughters?
Thanks to all who puchased CDs and especially to Ephriam!

Yes Diane, wonderful images and many thanks to Ephriam! I recieved my four CDs yesterday.
Here is an identification using the list Ephriam sent earlier.
Red Cloud 00210800 disk 1 Red Dog 00210100 disk 4 Little Wound 00210600 disk 1 Slow Bull 03174500 disk 3 Long Buffalo Bull 1200 disk 2 American Horse 00210300 disk 4 Rocky Bear and wife 00211600 disk 3 Stands First 00211100 disk 2 Little Hawk and Lieut. W. P. Clark 00209700 disk 1
Assuming all the CDs Ephriam made are the same, disk 1 contains Little Hawk and Lieut. W. P. Clark , Little Wound, and Red Cloud. Disk 2 contains Stands First and Long Buffalo Bull. Disk 3 contains Rocky Bear and Wife, and Slow Bull. Disk 4 contains Red Dog and American Horse.
I made CD covers for my discs and the first numbers for Long Buffalo Bull got cut off, so without looking at the CD on the computer, I don't have the complete number handy.
I don't recall if it was on the Godkin CD, but Ephriam had the same image of "George Sword and Daughters" from the NAA, identified as "Little Big Man, 2 Girls"from a private collection. We determined the George Sword identification was the correct one.

Good morning, everyone:
Yes, the idenitification given by Bob is correct. I should have printed those out and included them with the CDs. My apologies.
I want to thank everyone who has been participating. This is helping me fund the needed images for my manuscript on D. S. Mitchell. Thank you for your support!

Ephriam, I add my appreciation for the wonderful photos. The quality is very good. I know you had a lot of work to do, and I was probably the biggest burr under your saddle....anxiously waiting! Thank you for your consideration, and good luck with your manuscript!
