L.B. Barrington - Atomic Energy Commission fellow, 1951-1954. After retiring from the Technology Commercialization program at UIC in 1994, Barry turned his talents exclusively to writing. He was an active member of The Chicago Literary Club. Having studied with Madeline L'Engle at Mundelein College and at University of Iowa summer programs, Barry went on to author two novels and three collections of poetry.
