So seeing how none of me learned colleagues here have any evidence of birds of a feather flocking together ( sober with sober and inebriated with inebriated ) it must not exist.

magpie, Speaking for myself, only, I prefer to drink with those that can hold their liquor and continue to function. I am not sure what your above post is getting at. Do Magpie's hang out with Mockingbirds?

Do Magpie's hang out with Mockingbirds? Wasn't Mocking anyone only as you've just pointed out like often goes with like and it was a thought I wanted to explore. So I read Custer liked to follow the pattern of the day and see Fred confirms assignment was by seniority not on tactical reasons or personal reasons. Reno lost about 1/2 his officers someone said and the rest didn't seem to be doing their jobs. It wasn't Reno's job to go and inform every trooper they were to charge/retreat and it didn't get done. It wasn't Reno's job to interpret Indian scouts but he was trying by sign language. Reno got the loosing task of attacking without enough strength and it might drive anyone to drink in that group. So that was the nature of the Tread.

Magpie, You are to be congratulated!!! This is an extremely perceptive post. There are not many people who understand what you put up here. Really nice job.Best wishes, Fred.
