Bison are three times faster than men and I've read that they can zoot along above 20mph for hours. No clue if true, but after you see how fast and strong they are in these highly enjoyable clips, you might, like me, tend to believe it. In any case, people who harass animals like this deserve to get clobbered and - my opinion - be fined if not jailed. A big clump of people with kids is suddenly in range and eyesight of a highly annoyed bison because a genuine douche bag (they use it on the news, now, and it is the correct word)tries to show off and is lucky his femoral is intact. www.facebook.com/topic/Old-Faithful/107091145994981?source=whfrt&position=1&trqid=6149909808643317105Hit the first video play button.

People can be absolute idiots at National Parks, like trying to pose their toddlers on a sunning alligator in the Everglades. Perhaps we have lost our ability to understand exactly what wild means.

"Stupid is as stupid does" Regards Dave What is it about cell phones that people put themselves in unbelievably dangerous situations just get 'get in the picture." I know I've mentioned about some idiot endangering my kid with a bison. What happened was Sam was sitting in what appeared to be a safe location at Mammoth area in Yellowstone. Unfortunately it was on top of a fence which in hindsight was not a good spot. However the bison was way far away from her and she was just sitting there eating her lunch and watching the bison eating his--until some idiot jumped the fence and approached the bison from the opposite side for a closer picture. The bison moved away, the guy kept getting closer until he had basically moved the bison totally across the area to the point it was close enough to Sam she could feel it's breath. People behind her were freaking out which didn't help but Sam just sat quietly (she told me later that she was just too scared to move). Finally bystanders got the idiot to get away from the bison and the bison wandered back away from the crowd. You may wonder where I was. A case of parental failure on both of our parts. I had taken daughter 2 to the gift shop and Steve was with Sam. Steve had to make an emergency trip to the rest room (he's had his gallbladder out and at times has problems). He took her with him, placed her in a location where I would see her when I came out with Gwen and told her to stay put and eat her lunch.
