Interesting. It wouldn't be surprising if that whole area was covered with bones. It is interesting how they were able to identify him. I had so hoped that I would be able to go to Belgium this year but life sometimes throws you curve balls and you have to rethink your priorities.
Still its nice to see there have been all sorts of news articles about Waterloo right now on the countdown to the anniversary.

It was an epic encounter and one we re-fought in 25mm on a large wargame table, we scaled the units down to one figure represents 33 men, which made an infantry company four figures, a battalion 24 figures making a regiment 72 in total, and the bad news was the French won.

On paper the French probably should have won, but it was a 'perfect storm' of events that caused the battle to play out different from expected, like the Wellington's ability to hang on to Hougoumont and Le Haye. And the timing of the Prussian arrival couldn't have been better, if scripted by Hollywood. And then there is Ney... Beth

Yes Tom I agree, I had a load of them type of figures myself, I bought some off an old guy who had already painted them and I painted a stack myself but his always looked better than mine, I wish I still had them.
