I cannot tell you a lot Tom as I come from the non rugby part of Australia. Rugby is only a major sport in New South Wales and Queensland elsewhere it is Australian Football. I do know of him and he is a great athlete. I do not doubt that Rugby is a good grounding in terms of doing what runners do in NFL. The question becomes is he smart enough to learn quickly enough to make the transition? We have a Canadian rugby player Mike Pike playing Australian football and doing quite well. There has been some experimenting by AFL clubs here with US basketballers to fill the same "tall" role as Pyke. None successfully yet. The son of one my neighbours has just returned last year after playing college football in the US so there is cross pollination happening and pro clubs are always looking for talent. Cheers

Thanks Mac, we used to get more Rugby and AFL on the tube here, not so much any more.

Tom I have seen this guy play in the Aussie league and for his country, a gifted runner who can defend too, plus he can pass the ball, to play RL you have to do all three and at a fast pace for 80 minutes so he ticks all the boxes, have a look at this clip and if you can watch all of it (about 10 minutes) to see the various skills he has. linkIan.
