Does anyone know the name? I acquired the limited to 1000 copies first edition of Dr. Mark Katz's "Custer in Photographs", and it has a Custer bookplate and a receipt from the publisher, both with the name of Charles Wesley Fitch. I googled the name + Custer, and got this link to this site: lbha.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=collections&action=print&thread=1948That's Alfuso's book collection, and it mentions an Upton collection with his name attached. Given the bookplate with GAC's image and the receipt from when this book was ordered, I'm hoping someone around here knows who this person is/was. Thanks

Sort of figured it out. Starting on page 22 of Hardorff's Custer Battle Casualties, II, there are letters reprinted. These letters were the correspondence of Charles Windolph and "noted Custer collector" Charles Wesley Fitch.
Pretty neat if you ask me.
