seems to me that all pictures were crow dance and that there is no real ghost dance picture then, as the author seems to indicate.
arapahos dancing a ghost dance 2 months after WK.. they certainly got the information and would have a bit discouraged for the least, plus d'absence of the center tree, plus to many white man's clothing and lack of ceremonial shirts, the bird painted on the back of one of the man etc etc
maybe another myth
