Are there any books about Ft Phil Kearny besides the older one by Dee Brown, and the Wagon Box Fight by Jerry Keenan? Thanks in advance.

"The Bozeman Trail, Volume II" by Grace Raymond Hebard and E.A. Brininstool covers more than just Ft. PK. It's a pretty good read. If you're also looking for the Fetterman battle, try "Where A Hundred Soldiers Fell" by John H. Monnett and "Give Me Eight Men" by Shannon D. Smith. They both give new insight into the pesonaliies of Fetterman, in particular, and Brown, shifting the blame for their demise somewhat from them and more on Grummond.

It would be nice to see a complete replica fort built on the original site. But not with this economy the way it is. Maybe someday. It sure would be interesting to visit.
