Thanks Mike, I've not seen these markers before. It's good that the "Ree's" are finally receiving recognition for their efforts too.

I don't understand why they put the "way of life" language on those markers other than the fact that it's on the red Sioux and Cheyenne markers.
Is the caveat explaining the markers are totally misplaced? I guess they are better than nothing, but not much.

Diane, Here's a clear view of the caveat, weathering away. Personally, I find the inscriptions on the NA markers overwrought, but we live in an age where every child is exceptional and anyone who serves is a hero. I think the simple language of the cavalry markers is fine and respectful. The best accolades are unspoken but felt.

Those top markers have been there for awhile, maybe a year or more. I wonder when they are going to get around to putting them up at the correct locations?
