Hi all, Just a notification of my return to forum duty! I see the place has been busy in my absence with many new contributors as well as the hard core of 'stalwarts'. And plenty of tempting new topics for me to contribute my two cents worth to! Well, whilst away I've been to numerous battlefields across North-west Europe, ranging from Hastings (1066) to the Remagen bridgehead (1945), and taking in such in-betweens as Culloden(1746), Waterloo (1815) and the Somme (1916). Along the way I also had the pleasure of attending a latter day sporting 'battle' - the British Open at St Andrews (won by Tiger Woods and featuring the farewell appearance of the great Jack Nicklaus). I hope all my friends here have had as pleasurable and rewarding a summer and, as far as academic duties allow, I look forward to a stimulating season of informed discussion here on the lbha board! Ciao, GAC

Welcome home, GAC! I was wondering what happened to you. I'm glad you had a great vacation.
