Finally I'm starting to post the goods from my June 2006 trip to Little Bighorn Battlefield and environs. First up is a tour of the area focusing on signs and landscapes. I tried to line up signs so they matched the corresponding landscape as much as possible. If you see a caption that needs to be clarified or changed, please let me know. Thanks! As a note, I don't post high-quality photos on the Internet. If you have questions and would like to see (dare I say it, even purchase! ) a larger print, contact me. You will have to go to my Webshots album to see the photos (took long enough to get them all posted and captioned on there, without duplicating all here ). The address is: And in case that is not, indeed, a clickable photo link above, try this: outdoors.webshots.com/album/570262437pTxjWpAnd here's a teaser photo... What the heck... a second teaser...

Oh yeah, let me know if there's any certain one (or more) you'd like posted here for discussion, or whatever. Actually anyone could copy the code to do it... well, at least I think the options to code for various photo sizes shows up to non-paying members on the Web site, but how would I know?? ;D LOL I set them up for the 600-pixel option when putting on here. The shots are numbered for easy reference. Of note, yes, you can read most signs in my orginal shots. I am a big fan of taking photos of signs. Beats copying down the information on the sign at the time! Sometime in the future you can expect another set of photos each from the Real Bird re-enactment and then also the Hardin Chamber re-enactment, both also from 2006. (And all you guys thought that I did here was make smart remarks. LOL! )

Nice pictures. My experience, most scenery pics don't draw a lot of comments around here. Check the Views-Replies ratio for such on other posts below.

Good pics Lisa. Pictures are allways appreciated when inserted into topical discussions. Today it is bones and winchesters. Have any of those pics?
Is that you flying the Cessna?

Liz: Really enjoyed the 130th album. I've only been the battlefield once, in 19 ought 67 and had not seen the interpretive signs until your photos. Will know what to look for in 2010. MA

Is that you flying the Cessna? bc Like for one second, it was! I was doing a preview story for a fly-in breakfast and got to go flying. I know what to expect in small planes, but still got a good plenty of G-Force when the guy went down to buzz a friend's farm. He gave me the "steering wheel" later long enough to take my pic. I sat there, frozen, didn't move a fraction of an inch!! Thanks for sayin' hello, guys! Just in case you're interested, 338 views overall of the 38 shots, with today's number to go up soon. I bet it becomes my most-viewed album fast, just because I have it tagged for Little Bighorn - and people search for photos of Little Bighorn, Custer, etc.
