Yes [and under international supervision]but when the democratic results were not to the liking of the US and the EU they withheld recognition and aid and allowed Israel to continue its blockade. Just an example of the bloodyminddness of Israel it would not permit Palastinians youth to leave the strip to attend university in Europe. What is the difference between Hamas and the Stern gang/ Irgun?Hamas has a democratic mandate.

Is there a similarity between Israel's attack on Gaza and Custer's attack on the Indian village at the Washita? I have heard Lakota people refer to the Israel/Palestine situation with empathy. Just saying.

I think the main comparison between this conflict and the Indian Wars is the terrible suffering of innocent women and children.
