See the "Paging" thread on this board to learn what this is about!

Diane:
I see no great purpose to changing the number of posts per page. Seems to be okay as is - to me at any rate. The Associates forum obviously has a larger number, as it takes forever to scroll down a page to the last post. I wondered why the dif, and now I know - they're probably at twenty-five or thirty.

Guess I'm at the 30 posts for both the page as well as the last 25(30) posts. I don't bookmark anything so that isn't an issue. I come in and look at the last 25 (30 would be better). No problem with scrolling as I quit scrolling when I hit the last post I've read. For the internet, I have adjusted my mouse scroll wheel to scroll faster. It is slow if you have it set to scroll one line at at time. A simple adjustment and you can scroll up to a page at a time if you can read that way.
Same for the page scrolling. I quit when I see the post I'm looking for. Sometimes someone will respond to a post from a few days ago and I can scroll down the page to where I find the the one referenced to. When it is on a different page it is a real pain and problem to go back. I can't make any arrows work.(Allright, this is an edit, I did mess around and I can make the arrows work now) My shakiest mouse pointer in the west moves off of a page number before I can click on it. Then I decide it isn't worth the effort to go back to look at a post or a map.
Clair and others have some good maps and then they get buried in the pagination. I suppose it would be nice to have battle map main category where they can be double posted there for quick reference.
I'll live with the majority rule whatever that is. I've managed so far.

Diane:
That map suggestion is a good one, I think - a place where all member-generated maps could be found [even if most of them are wrong LOL].

In the spirit of the season, I have granted both requests. You'll find the new "Map Gallery" board under the Photo Gallery board, and you can now view the last 30 posts from the info center.
Happy New Year!
Diane
P.S. Gordie, do you want me to move threads with maps in them or wait for others to double-post them there? If I move a thread, the whole thing goes. If you want me to move just the maps, please tell me which ones and where they are.

Diane:
I think just the maps, as long as they also remain on the thread where they were originally posted. Otherwise, I'd say just let the original posters repost them - most are by conz anyway, I think. I'm so tired, I'm not entirely certain that I CAN think.

OK. If anyone sees a map he would like placed there, PM me a link to it. Clair can post his own. Someone else was doing a lot with Google Earth maps a while back, but I can't remember where they are.

That was, I believe, Mike Fox - mccaryf. You could likely find them by checking his last 50 posts. He is not a prolific poster any longer. One was on one of the Ford D threads, as I recall; but I can't remember where the other was/were.
I have no idea of how to post or PM links. If God had wanted me to do stuff like that, He would have given me a brain that had more neurons and metathings.

You just keep doing what your doing, Gordie, and I'll take care of the maps. I believe you are correct about the person and the location, so I'll get to them one of these days.

Diane:
I think Mike, Fred and Vern Smalley also posted some maps on the thread about Varnum's other lookout [not the one in Fantasyland, but the one next to the third Lone Tipi and one of the several morasses, next to the Custer helipad].
