A gr. gr. uncle in my family who lived in the Oklahoma/Texas Panhandle area married an American Indian lady named Amanda Bull, and an unsubstantiated family legend was passed down that she was the daughter, niece, sister--take your pick--of Sitting Bull. As the unofficial family genealogist I've never given the story enough credibility to research it. Does anyone have any information that might support or extinguish the story, or guidance on where to invistigate it? Thnx in advance.

monte:
Go over to our sister board, American-Tribes [Google it, or check out the thread above this one where there is probably a link]. That forum is dedicated to the NA Indians, and there are actual descendants of Sitting Bull on it, who can answer your questions directly and from a position of actual knowledge.
