My one and only visit to Dodge City was probably 20 years ago. Has anyone seen the wax museum? The Gunfighters Wax Museum, located inside the Teachers' Hall of Fame, features life-size wax figures of Old West personalities. You can see life-size figures of Wyatt Earp, Buffalo Bill, Billy the Kid, Bat Masterson, Calamity Jane, General Custer, Doc Holliday, Sitting Bull and many more.
The Teachers' Hall of Fame is free, but donations are accepted. The Gunfighters Wax Museum has a small admission fee of $2.50 for adults and $1.25 for children 6-13, and children under 6 are free. The hours for both these attractions are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It's been longer than that since I was there. My best memory of Dodge was how fake Boot Hill looked.

I agree! What a disappointment. It looked like something a kindergarten class put together.

Went in November '08 and the visitor center museum and boot hill are still the same, but I missed the wax museum. However, I visited it as a nine-year old, in antediluvian times, and was EXTREMELY impressed at the time with the wax version of the severed head of Juaquin Murietta. That head, in fact, might be the explanation for much of what followed. MA
