redflame:
Welcome to the boards. You will find most of the information about NDNs in the relevant threads, and many members who are much more expert on that subject than am I. You will doubtless find links to internet sites, and answers to your questions.
As to Running Bear - I trust that you are not referring to the hero of the old song [he was in love with Little White Dove] - I would hazard a guess that there are many more than one man by that name [Bear variations are quite common in many of the Plains tribal divisions]. You should be specific as to the context in which you found the name, in order to narrow down the probabilities.
The Old Welcome Mat
PS I was in The Netherlands in 1992, but for only a couple of days [unfortunately]. We visited Amsterdam and Vollendam. I loved it!!

redflame, Here's a link to a thread about Running Bear, but there isn't a lot of information: lbha.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=tribes&action=display&thread=2774If you want to ask questions at the bottom of that thread, I'm sure people will help you if they can. Welcome! Diane P.S. I was in Rotterdam in 1970 where there was a Woodstock-type concert. I remember that Jefferson Airplane and Santana performed there. Santana's percussion was awesome floating through the night air. Wow! I'm old!
