It is August 1876 and you have been granted a 2 hour interview with one of the above. Who would you want to interview?

Weir. I don't think I could stand Reno for two hours, and Benteen (though delightful company) would be too canny to give much away. Godfrey would devote the whole interview to the cleverness of his skirmish line; French would boast; Varnum and Hare would be too cautious and well-behaved to say anything of interest. But ply Weir with strong liquor, and he'd be sure to Tell All. Could be very interesting.

Yep. Gotta agree with Elisabeth here - right down the entire line of her reasoning. Of course, French and his 'laundress' friends could be interesting as well.
It would probably take far longer than two hours, or one session to pin Benteen down - if at all.
Interviewing Reno would be like getting stuck in the back of a taxi-cab with Terry Malloy (On the Waterfront) - 'I coulda' had class' - 'I coulda' been somebody' - 'I coulda' been a contender' whine whine whine...

Absolutely Weir! The LBH's 'missing link'.

Would Weir be coherent? Would alcohol rob him of his senses? He was already having difficulties soon after the LBH, falling off wagons and such.
But yes, he would be the one to interview, especially with his comments to Libbie about what he "could tell her."
Hopefully he would be sober!

But I gotta say, I admire Varnum. I'd sure love to talk with him. Decisions, decisions.

I have a personal call...I'd like to interview my namesake here and find out just what the hell he was up to that day. (and also what he thought of Peter Thompson's BS about him)
