Only a little after 8:00AM 12-31-07 where I am, but it's past midnight 01-01-08 and the NEW YEAR where some of our Australian friends and members are. So, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 Mates.
Of course, this means I can fall asleep anytime I want to this evening since the New Year has arrived. Thank you Australia.

Less than a couple of hours to go now here in the UK, so I'll anticipate and say: Happy New Year, everyone.

Well I just logged in, and it says it is tomorrow wherever the clock is, which means that it's next year and I must have missed Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians playing Auld Lang Syne and Tangerine and When Sunny Gets Blue. On the other hand, since it's only pushing 9:30 PST, I still have Dick Clark................
Happy New Year to anyone I might have missed in my earlier posts. This has been, for the most part, a good year for me and my family, and next year may not measure up the same way, depending upon who wins the election.
One of my Christmas presents from my son was a big black hat [being a good guy, I usually wear a white one these days - my trusty old Montana beaver felt got chucked out one garbage day] with the crossed sabers of the Seventh Cavalry on the front, an officer's cord, and the regimental insignia on the back. Clay, who is Infantry bless his little heart, asked "What's that Garryowen on the thing on the back?"
Lang may yer lum reek..................
