Hello all!
Strange has had lots of fun around here but I'll be taking a leave for a long time now.
Regardless of all of the mad back and forths, I've had a swell time and I wish you all the best. I'll probably return much later, but right now I'm focusing on business and I'm also getting myself into supreme physical condition using my knowledge of various turn of the century circus muscle men. A few bodybuilders made fun of some of my fleshy-ness (which you carry when you're a writer and a sketch artist by profession) so I'm unleashing everything in my arsenal and trying to shape myself into the finest specimen from this corner of the earth to the next!
For the life of me, I'm very ticked off at some of these health nut gym expletive deleted and I can't stand the idea of them popping supplements and roids and thinking they're being well fit,or fitter than me, so I'm unleashing everything in my arsenal and I'm hoping to finally reach Arnold Schwarzenegger's physique, doing without the typical fodder and going back to perfection, back to the turn of the century.
Sincerest regards from the Stranger

Good luck on your various quests, Stranger. Don't be too discouraged if you don't find those corners of the earth which you seek.

Best of luck Strange. We will miss your unique inquisitiveness and enthusiasm for knowledge. Your presence has made for a far more active message board. Do check in every now and then and let us know how you are doing.

Strange-
In the words of a song, "You can check out anytime you like - but you can never leave."
OR to paraphrase another body builder - 'You'll be bock!'

Thank you all to the utmost!
We've all definitely rocked back and forth a few times, but hell, nothing much ever gets accomplished without a few jibs and jabs.
The kind words mean a lot, they'll definitely make a difference for any and all rough turns up ahead. My next challenge will be to physically outshine a bunch of VERY ticked off steroid/supplemental gym freaks who are really twisting the funny button. But the Stranger will attempt to summon forth the powers of the great specimens from Eugen Sandow to Louis Cyr or Charles Atlas and Jack Lallane.
I'll be back one of these days and I'll be hitting the books even more so that I can come back and make everything interesting.
For now, a fond farewell, and sincerest thanks for your kind words. ( And sorry if I've been a bit of a pain in the rear on various occasions. The feelings are sometimes mutual.)
Sincerest regards from the Stranger

Strange, Good Luck. Remember, "Old historians never go away, they just fade into history".

Oh, Strangeone ...
Keep up that creative thinking about Custer. It's only the folks who can think out of the box who make a true splash in the world of scholarship. Work out hard and see to business. You might drive us nuts, but you've been a spark to the board. It's always good to have a young un about ...
Chairmistress, NACCers Perhaps, maybe, sort of, I'm really scared, Future LBHA Board Member ... hehehe, and look out!

And on a really swell note, just to update the rest of you about the goings ons in Strangeland, I'm finally relieving my torment on my nasty and mean drunk of a neighbor.
I'm moving to a new town so my neighbor will no longer have to suffer my cruel wrath of building a cemetery around his property! I hope he counts his lucky stars and behaves more gentlemanly in the future, or else the next guy to move here won't be as kind as I am.
I'm happy with the results, i successfully implemented my Blackbeard tactics to freak out the mean neighbor and solve everything without one physical altercation. I think the Terrible Teach would be very happy, this intimidation would be one of Blackbeard's finer traits as a humanitarian.
