I write for an online entertainment magazine (www.anevibe.com), and one of the "perks" is having a chance to review things I otherwise might never know existed. This weekend, I had the pleasure of listening to a preview cd to be released November 13, by Corb Lund (a Canadian country-western artist), entitled "Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier!" (My editor sent it me to review because of my Custer interest). This is a fun collection of songs that "go jolly well on a horse," my favorite being the title track which traces the history of the cavalry soldier and includes a reference to Custer and the 7th. Another favorite is "I Wanna Be in the Cavalry." Please pardon the "spam-like" nature of this message, but I want all my Custer friends to know about this one; I enjoyed it and think you might, too.
