All-- Though it's a bit touristy, here's the shot I felt turned out best--so far. I believe I took it Monday, June 26th, mid-day. I'm still going through the rest; will post soon. Enjoy! Leyton McLean

I think thats really good Leyton.I was wondering if you or any of the other fine photographers had any shots of the rosebud battlefield, other than the ones already displayed? I,for one would love to see them, also more of the Medicine deer rocks and perhaps the rosebud river too. many thanks. craw.

Just do a Google search for them. I'm sure there will be all kinds of photos, both old and new.
Good luck!

Crawdaddo--
I only have photos from LBH and immediate surroundings. Lawtonka, who posts often on the photo boards, has several shots from the Rosebud battlefield, and maybe, Deer Medicine Rocks. In fact, one of his photos graced the front of the June newsletter ...

Last Stand Hill, 2006:
Thanks, all ... I'm still trying to figgure out the finer (okay, the obvious) points of Spouse's Photoshop programme, so I apologize for the crookedness of my scan and the lassoing techniques. I do have a few other photos with the same depth of color, but life stuff means it'll be a bit afore they're all posted. Of course, I could lean on Spouse to do them, as he is the professional photographer and image digitalizer, but don't want to force more Custer upon him than is absolutely necessary ...

Hi all, Can anyone tell me which direction the webcam on LSH is directed? There are some nice snow covered ridges. I assume it is to the east. Are those the Wolf mountains in the background? It is now 1-10-08 at 5:57 p.m. cst.

bc:
Last time I looked today, the camera was pointed toward Weir Point, and those snow-capped mountains in the distance are indeed the Wolf Mountains.
Today,11 January, they have tried to make a liar out of me by shifting the views. We are now, 1110 PDT, looking at Battle Ridge and Deep Ravine. with the Big Horns in the far distance, if you can see them.

Crawdad, I'll see if I can post a couple you requested: Actually, I have to download them from somewhere else, so here's a couple you didn't ask for: This is taken from location of Dull Knife's village. The red bluffs in the back ground are Pawnee Cliffs, from which the Pawnee scouts fired down into the village: i63.photobucket.com/albums/h153/bubbabod/01710070.jpgThis is at Reno Crossing. If you're able to zoom in, you can see Hodgsen's marker above my head and to the right: i63.photobucket.com/albums/h153/bubbabod/01710115.jpgThis is the sight of the Cheyenne camp along the Powder River when attacked by Reynolds. The camp was all along the river in the trees. Reynolds allowed the Indians to gain the high ground, the bluffs from where this picture was taken and fire back down on the camp on the soldiers: i63.photobucket.com/albums/h153/bubbabod/01710038.jpg Now that I've shown you pictures you didn't ask for, I'll search around for pictures of the Rosebud.
