A while back, an LBHA member asked if I could make background photos (wallpaper) available for computers. It's one of the many things I've had in the back of my mind but have never gotten around to putting on the LBHA website. I just discovered a site that makes all sorts of historical photographs available in various screen sizes. They are free, and you don't even have to register with the site to grab them. Today's "Picture of the Day" concerns Wounded Knee. I clicked the "All Pictures" link and found a Buffalo Bill poster (the April 27 Picture of the Day) for my desktop. I'm sure there are lots more interesting ones. To find out your screen size, go to the Control Panel, select Display, and then select Settings. To save a photo for your background, click the appropriate size of photo, then right-click and select "set as background" in Internet Explorer or "set as desktop background" in Firefox, and it will magically appear. Enjoy! tinyurl.com/fryd2
