A couple of sources that might prove of interest. This one: tinyurl.com/29yb7ugives details of all the stagecoach companies operating in our period. Particularly handy for trying to grasp who owned what, and what financial interests were involved. And this one: tinyurl.com/2dlyf8is a segment of the American Memory site that I, for one, hadn't known existed -- Three Centuries of Broadsides and Other Printed Ephemera. Haven't studied it in detail as yet -- there's acres of it -- but already have found a denunciation of Sheridan's policy in New Orleans, and a 4-page obituary for Hamilton. There's bound to be other relevant stuff, I should think.
