An interesting question, Diane.
The Bighorn River was initally called the Big Horn, and initially we had the Little Big Horn River. Nowadays we call it the Bighorn and Little Bighorn. They changed just about the time that the Custer Battlefield changed names to the Little Bighorn Battlefield, I think.
I asked Don Horn, emeritus director, why Little Big Horn Associates wasn't called Little Bighorn Associates, and the answer was "just because." (But I think I know why)! (Smiles).

A bar in northwest Illinois: LITTLE BIG HORN, 2045 W. Maple Ave., Mundelein, (847) 566-1134. Karaoke with Jenny on Tuesday nights. Live bands on Friday and Saturday. I wonder if they sing "Please Mr. Custer" on karaoke nights. Source: tinyurl.com/yztqqx
