I bought this on DVD from Amazon last year. Great show.
Warren Oates plays one of the soldiers. He went on to play Sgt. Hulka in the movie Stripes.

I sure remember the Twilight Zone but don't remember that episode.
Remember the Time Tunnel, didn't they go back to the LBH? I remember the Titanic Episode.

Does anyone have the title of the show the OP mentioned? I'd like to try and track down a copy.
I've seen the Time Tunnel episode, but didn't know about the Twilight Zone one.
What was the TZ storyline? Was it about the LBH battlesite being haunted?
Thanks ;D

The title is "The 7th is made up of Phantoms". It is Twilght Zone Episode #130, aired December 6, 1963. Although it to is completely outrageous, it is very intertaining. I remember the Time Tunnel episode also. Both of thes old series were favorites of mine, too. But, the Time Tunnel episode it to far fetched and rediculous to even be interesting. I will admit, when I was about 10 years old when I saw it, not knowing anything about the real stuff, It was more interesting. The Twilight Zone episode is a real classic as were all of the Rod Sternling productions. Of course, we watch it know full well it is true science fiction......But then again.....time travel would be neat wouldn't it.

Oh, by the way......it is on Vol. 19 of the CBS DVD collection. I think individual volumes can be had from ebay at a reasonable price. As a matter of fact, I should have waited, the box sets are now about 1/3 of the cost of when they first came out.

RE: Twilight Zone Episode
It was a National Guard unit that was doing maneuvers at or near the LBH site. Somehow they went back in time and became involved in the battle.
Back to the present time and the men are missing, but their tank is found . . . !
The present-day soldiers go to the monument and find the names of the missing soldiers on the monument!
As the scene ends one of the soldiers says: "They should have brought the tank!"
