I recently joined up, but I've loved military history from when I was a kid. I beame interested in the Civil War when, at school, I read Carl Sandburg's "Storm over the Land." This moved in to an interest in the Indian Wars and Custer, of course, about whom I have read many books. The latest is "Little Bighorn & Isandlwana" by Paul Williams, which also brings in the Zulu Wars for a very penetrating comparison of the two battles. A fascinatuing read.

I hope you are still checking the boards. Please forgive me for not welcoming you sooner!

P.S. - There is a thread about that book on the board called "Books About LBH and the Indian Wars."
