And to think ... y'all should have contacted me! The McLeans would have enjoyed meeting you in Dallas. We've been looking for A) an excuse to go, and B) good Custer conversations. I would have left my great-grandfather's ceremonial bow and arrows at home!
PS: Did y'all go to the basement of the Alamo?

In fact, we would have discussed the betrayal at the Little Big Horn and "my" evidence to support it (mostly what many people know, the RCOI, the time-motion books and the witnesses and analysis
Where was the basement ? I know that the wall near the Alamo was authentic, but the other walls and buildings around weren't.

Personally, I think it would have been fun. I always enjoy talking Custer, and yes, you would have gotten the lowdown on the Custer Epic (as my fan club calls it) of All Time ... You'd be surprised how fairly my narrative portrays GAC, as long as you can accept him being "human" with failings, frailities, and foibles as well as kindness and sensitivity. Okay, an enigma ... but yeah, I'd listen to your take on the RCOI.
Actually, "the basement of the Alamo" refers to a line from Pee Wee's Big Adventure, directed by Tim Burton. Funny, that movie was just on yesterday!

I would be have been honored to defend my case! Maybe next time...
I would have been honored as well to defend my case about the Indians, the West and the reality of the times...
