Hope ya'll don't mind a little bit of "Comanche Stuff"
The last great chief of the Comanche, Quannah Parker entertains guest at his dinner table in his home at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This was taken in 1890.
This is the same table in the same room, but photographed from a different direction in 1999. The house was moved from Fort Sill to Cache, Oklahoma and is now preserved in private hands at Eagle Park. Man I had a lot of good times horseback riding at Eagle Park in the early 1960's. When I revisited in 1999, I was delighted to meet the owner, Mr. Herbert Wosener who was still living at that time. He has massed a nice colection of historical buildings from the area, including the old Frisco Rail Depot from Lawton!
