From a website visitor: While on vacation in Gettysburg I came across a very nice art print, whose name and artist eludes me. It looked very recent and showed an Indian Scout in the foreground, Custer riding a horse in the middle and perhaps Wild Bill Hickock in the background. It had something to do with his 1874 expedition to the Black Hills I think. Very nice quality, but my family rushed me and I can't even remember the store I was in. Can you help???

I believe that you might referring to a limited edition, signed and numbered print, "Thus Far and No Further", by Rick Reeves. The image reflects the Hancock Expedition, April 14th, 1867, among the snowy plains of Southwestern Kansas. Lieutenant Colonel George A. Custer, Army Scout "Wild Bill" Hickok, and the soldiers of the 7th Cavalry and 37th Infantry Regiments are halted before a line of Cheyenne and Sioux warriors. 1ST RELEASE IN THE SERIES " CONFLICT ON THE PLAINS" 950 S/N Prints Approx. print size: 25" X 30" Price: $175 -- SOLD OUT - Available Secondary Market Only
