Here are some rather splendid pix of this year's re-enactment: tinyurl.com/e6san(I presume the wagon-train episode isn't supposed to be part of the battle! Or Father De Smet, for that matter.) It does all look rather wonderful. Ah well ...

Thanks Elisabeth. You do find the most interesting and timely little tidbits. I have visited LBH but it was in October and during beautiful, cool, breezy weather. The shot of the people in the stands looks "warm and cozy," do you not agree? ;D Here is an interesting link from the BBC re/LBH: www.bbc.co.uk/history/war/custer_battle_01.shtmlDo you know of other writings of Mr. Batten?? Thanks.

I don't know off-hand, but he's a leading member of the CAGB (Custer Association of Great Britain), so will almost certainly have written for their journal, The Crow's Nest -- and may well have published more. I'll trawl around and see what I can find. Meanwhile, you might enjoy this: tinyurl.com/fv26r
