Diane,
Poor Fred, whattya gonna do, double the price and sell it to him?!?!?!?
Jim
P.S. - I've seen that edition of the National Geographic on EBay at least once a month, so if you want it just keep checking back on EBay. It'll either be Melani or Fred who will get the next one!!!

I'd probably sell someone a copy for cheap. I believe I have three copies of it. If I do, I'd be willing to part with one.

Mine will probably be for sale, too. Every time I think I've found something special, my husband tells me he's already got it. I think we have books all over the house except perhaps in a bathroom or two. I have GOT to get this place organized!
So far I have two New Year Resolutions:
1. Get organized. 2. Stop volunteering.

I have books all over the place too. Michno's E Company book is in my bathroom, along with a million car mags. There's a shelf of books in my room (the spare bedroom) and my new copy of The Custer Myth is residing in my messenger bag.
Does anyone want a copy of Hardorff's Indian Casualties book? I got another copy for Christmas, and while I could take it back to where I bought my copy, I'd rather check and see if anyone wants it. Brand new, and I'll let it go for a reasonable amount.

El Crab
I have about 15 bookcases right now. They are "organized" chronologically.

Jim, thanks so much for the National Geographic info -- I've just bought a copy too. Without the map (bad decision?) but the seller's in England, so at least I don't have to wait long!
Anybody need a copy of "Camp, Custer and the Little Bighorn", Hardorff, Montana and the West Series Volume Ten? (I ordered it twice by mistake.) Given the currency difference, it's probably simpler to trade it than sell it; care to swap for something I haven't got?

Jim--
KNOCK IT OFF, WILL YOU!!!!! You're driving the price up!!!! (Jim, she'd do it, too!)
Crab--
Gimme a price; I'll buy one.
Y'all--
I have no patience for e-bay. Any deals there, we'll broker it... okay?
alfuso--
If you mention, one more time, about your damned Custer books & the size of your bookshelves, I'm leaving Florida tomorrow! Here I am, the ancient mariner, thinking I've got it all when it comes to Custer & you guys come along & ruin everything!! I WANT THAT ARTICLE!!! And I'm insanely jealous of all of you.
'Til hell freezes over, Intensely yours, Fred.

Crab-- Gimme a price; I'll buy one. I can only find two copies so far. On one of them the cover has come off. If you wanna just pay for the shipping, I'll send that one to ya free, including the cover. Or you can wait, because I believe I have another copy somewhere...

Crab -- No, I don't. OK, it's a deal! Care to PM me your mailing address? (Sorry, Fred -- much as I'm tempted!)
The National Geographic arrived today, and it is fabulous. It's got White Bird's painting, plus loads of Red Horse's stuff, and some brilliantly clear terrain/artefact maps. (Those are especially useful for people like me, far from the battlefield; writers are forever describing locations in terms of "the current park boundary" or "the blacktop road", which means nothing if all you've got are maps of the 1876 battlefield.) To say nothing of the text, of course. Well worth the very few dollars it'll cost you.
There's a copy for sale on Biblio.com, or there was yesterday, if that's any help; only about $3!

Hello Elizabeth,
Elizabeth please tell me where you got your copy of the National Geographic, I had a look in e-bay, but it seemed as if the sellers didn't want to ship outsides the states. Anyone know where I can get a copy in the U.K? Incidentally, it seems as if we are around the same age and grew up in much the same part of London. My love affair with the likes of Robin Hood came to an end when my father bought me Red Indian Experiences, by DeCost Smith, and I opened a page and was met by Low Dogs terrifying stare. Shan

Isn't there a more recent National Geographic book on the battle that includes all this stuff?
