The anthology is organized into sections featuring the plains, mountains and towns. The writing includes Mandy Smoker’s depiction of her dead mother in the poem, “From the River’s Edge.” There’s also an excerpt by Elizabeth Custer recounting her experience riding with the 7th Cavalry in 1876 and the days leading up to the Battle of Little Big Horn, in which her husband, Gen. George Armstrong Custer, died. Review: www.helenair.com/articles/2006/12/15/helena_top/a01121506_03.txt
