Well clw thats a really interesting article.it seems to me by standing on the foredeck and singing the songs the way they did that those chiefs were saying they were far from beaten,they were just surrendering,thats all. I think there's a difference. Also has anyone seen a picture of this flag with the deer on it and what is its significance? cheers craw....

Wonderful article, Graham! I enjoyed it, but didn't find any reference to the 'double dagger'. When you refer to the dragonfly symbol, do you mean the one shown here? (edit for better picture) Craw, the deer flag was new to me too. I'm going to look around and see what I can find. Maybe LaDonna can shed some light on it the next time she drops by.
