I've seen that photograph of the man in front of a brush shelter in the book you mention, but I have also seen it in another book, { so many photographs floating around in the head with no particular book title attached to them, making it difficult to simply reach out and check ones facts,} which has a totally different expalnation as to who, where and when. I notice in the exellent photograph of Spotted Eagle you posted with a query as to to might have taken it, that the knife club is a different one to that in the Glenbow picture, in which case they can't be the same studio prop.
