Here's an excellent question from a website visitor: Can anyone tell me where to find the best map(s) with labeling of all the fords, etc., so the uneducated might follow all these scenarios? As I told him, I'm geographically challenged during some of our discussions. I've put links to some Battle-related Maps on the LBHA Research page. Any other suggestions?

Diane--
Kershaw's book, Red Sabbath (you've created a monster here w/ this italics stuff), has some very good military-style maps, including aerial; Fox' book has some good ones, & Michno's Lakota Noon's are also good, though encumbered by all his Indian routes.
If you want the best, in color, w/ extremely good markings (though not totally complete), tell your friend to buy the McElfresh map. I have 3 of them, one framed, & another always open when I'm working. It's the best I've ever seen (other than the topo's you can buy at the store).
Best wishes, Fred.
