To anyone who has never been to Texas when the Bluebonnets are blooming you really have to see them in mass to understand how beautiful they are Bluebonnets And since it seems to be customary to throw your kids and dogs into fields of bluebonnets Kidlets and beastieNumber 2Beth

Beth,
Lovely girls and I'm sure a well-loved Lab.
Though my eldest son is at College Station and we're through Texas from time to time, I have never seen Bluebells.
Is the first photo yours? Where was it taken and at what time of year?
Yours,
Mike

The first is a stock photo. If anyone is interested in seeing bluebonnets there are websites that give one a heads up about when to expect them to bloom. They start in the south in early spring and work their way north. You don't need to be a member of Facebook to see this site www.facebook.com/texasbluebonnetsightings

The Bluebonnets are in bloom in San Antonio right near Fiesta de San Jacinto time, which is mid April.

BTW. I remembered a worse Texas sin that mowing bluebonnet. When we first moved to Austin, Sam was in the school library and commented about the 'cute cow" poster. She said you could hear a pin drop and finally a teacher said "Don't EVER call Bevo a cow." I don't know if one can call Reveille the B word though. aggietraditions.tamu.edu/symbols/reveille.htmlBeth

MY GOD
Granddaughter Number Two will enter A and M in the Fall of 2016.
She is a little ticked about moving to Virginia for her senior year in HS and says she is a Texas girl and has no truck with Virginia hillbillies . It does not matter to her that she was born in Virginia, and lived there for ten years. Did I mention she does a mean two step. Would not be at all surprised if she has not tasted a long neck Lone Star as well.

Sam thought it was the end of the world when we moved from Idaho her Sophmore year but now realizes she is in a much better school than before. I have fun reminding Sam that when she goes off to school hopefully in Iowa that she will always been the girl from Texas even though she was born in Iowa. Beth
