We've all heard of the cavalryman who appeared on one of Groucho's shows. Here's another one that appeared in my inbox tonight: A friend recalls a Nez Perce Indian, a guest on the Jack Paar Tonight Show, (circa 1959 or thereabout) who claimed to have been a child at the Battle at the Little Bighorn. The gist was that he told an account about the famous battle, and possibly had written a book about it. Do you know who that might've been and where I could find more info on this man?

Diane, The one I remember is Chief Red Fox, who was on the Johnny Carson show, April of 1971. He had been Five or six years old during the battle. He related how he had fled with the women and children, and watched the events of that day. Later I bought his book.

I hadn't heard that one before either. That may be it. Thanks!

If your date is correct, Larry, he was 101 when he appeared on the show. Really neat! Best wishes, Fred.

Fred, I remember watching the show-think I was in the 8th Grade-was glued to the TV that night. I think he was the last survivor. Take care, Larry
