Here is a video clip I treasure. It was from my first visit to the battlefield in August 1985 after the fires. Cliff Nelson was the ranger I listened to on that visit. Sadly, he was killed in 1996. I thought I would post this video clip in his memory. His talk was very impressive to me. The video is 25 years old now, but it still has pretty good quality, the color is off but the sound is great.
Perhaps some of you knew Cliff. I will never forget my visit and the talk he gave.
Sorry about the Advertisement, I don't know where this comes from? I used the youtube icon in the post that was provided.

I enjoyed this "tribute" very much. What a tragedy that the life of this young man was snuffed out so very early. My first visit to the battlefield was in 1998 so I missed the opportunity to meet this dedicated soul.

Thank you, Lawtonka, for that remembrance.
My first visit was five years later. I heard a female ranger tell the story, and that visit started a fascination with the battlefield and its story that continues twenty years later.
We are very lucky to have so many talented, informed people work at the battlefield.

You are right Diane, I think not only is the LIttle Big Horn a special place, but the people associated with it are special also, there is so much to learn and we all benefit from the corporate efforts. I have always been impressed with those I have met working at the battlefield for the NPS, they are a dedicated bunch!
